With the introduction of the Half-Coronas, three of Rocky Patel’s most popular lines have been expanded to include this on-trend format, presented in convenient five-count boxes. The Half-Coronas offer all the characteristics of a larger format in a compact size and with the quality Rocky Patel is known for. They are available in the Grand Reserve, Vintage 1990 and Vintage Connecticut 1999 lines.
The Rocky Patel Grand Reserve was created exclusively for international markets outside the USA and is made in Nicaragua. The exact blend remains a closely guarded secret. Its flavor profile is characterized by notes of cream, dried fruit and chocolate, complemented by subtle hints of leather and herbs.
In 2018, Cigar Journal named the Grand Reserve Toro “Cigar of the Year.” Now available as a Half-Corona, this award-winning cigar can also be enjoyed in a compact format.
The Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 is made in Honduras and features a 12-year-aged Honduran Broadleaf wrapper. A filler blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, combined with a Nicaraguan binder, delivers a creamy, well-balanced smoke with notes of spice, honey, earth and cream. With the Half-Corona format, this classic of the Vintage Series is now also available as a short smoke.
The Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 is made in Honduras and features a U.S. Connecticut Shade wrapper aged for more than ten years. A Nicaraguan binder and a filler blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos complete the well-balanced blend. The result is a wonderfully creamy smoke with notes of herbs, cedar, macadamia and cream. In the Half-Corona format, this cigar can be enjoyed in a smoking time of approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
