LB1

»LB1« is the original factory code of the blend that is hand-rolled in the El Paraiso factory in Honduras. Instead of creating a new name and marketing story, Rocky Patel simply kept the name »LB1«.

However, the blend is much more refined than the name suggests. Beneath the Ecuadorian wrapper lies Ligero tobacco from the Jamastran Valley in Honduras. Ligero refers to the upper part of the tobacco plant. These leaves receive the most sunlight and therefore grow thicker, stronger, and oilier than the lower leaves. Due to these characteristics, Ligero leaves contribute significantly to the strength and flavor of a cigar. The filler tobaccos come from Rocky Patel's own plantations in Condega and Estelí, Nicaragua. The result is an exquisite fusion of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos.

Despite the powerful Ligero, these cigars are not overpowering. »At the start, the cigar delivers a strong pinch of pepper, layered with coffee and wood notes and an intriguing citrus freshness. Then, cedar and leather aromas develop, along with malty notes and a subtle sweetness in between,« judges Cigar Journal and awarded the Robusto the »Best Buy« designation.
