Although the composition varies from series to series, it can be said that the filler and binder made from Nicaraguan tobacco are characteristic of the La Aromas, and this also holds true for the “Edición Especial.” The series, however, differ significantly in terms of the wrapper. For the “Edición Especial,” the Levins chose a golden wrapper harvested in Ecuador’s volcanic landscape—a first at the time.

The No. 5 impressed Cigar Aficionado magazine with its wonderful smoke, brimming with notes of spice, coffee, and cocoa. In 2008, the magazine awarded the Belicoso fourth place in its Top 25 ranking.
