La Aroma del Caribe
La Aroma del Caribe is one of Ashton’s flagship brands and has been recognized multiple times by the most prestigious cigar magazines. The cigars from various series are regularly found among the Top 25, and have also been honored with »Best Brand« and »Best Buy« awards.
The roots of this brand date back to the late 1880s, and the brand was reportedly a favorite of Sir Winston Churchill.
Ashton introduced the »La Aroma del Caribe« brand in 2003. At that time, it was produced in Honduras. In 2009, Ashton transferred production to the García family, who reblended the series. Today, all La Aromas are made at the Garcías and, typical of the factory’s style, are rolled with two binders.

The García family cultivates a wide variety of binders, filler tobaccos, and wrappers in Nicaragua’s most sought-after tobacco-growing regions, including Estelí, Condega, Jalapa, and Namanji.
To ensure consistent flavor and quality, the tobaccos are fermented for several years, then selected and controlled according to strict criteria before being processed by a team of experienced master rollers.
Finally, the cigars are allowed to rest for some time in the aging room, where the cedar wood environment provides the final aromatic touch. Only then are the La Aromas ready to be adorned with an artistic band and embark on their journey around the globe in beautiful boxes to delight aficionados.
